===Post Trip Notes====
* Need proper diameter screw for securing nuc to wall
* took a bunch of photos that need to be uploaded to dropbox and then I can update the google presentation.
* HMP155s
** D site and C site lower units were too corroded to replace so only did tips.
** replaced top C HMP155 with a new one.
** also replaced a tip and HMP155 at B
** replaced A lower HMP155 and moved it to the upper position.
** Almost all S/N from units out there were sun bleached off.
** Leveled all radiometer Domes and swapped out desiccant.
** leveled A & C precip buckets (C was already level, A was off just a bit)
** Replaced all SR50A Transducers (2 @A, 2 @ B, 3 @ C, 1 @ D)
*** emailed CSI asking the dimensions for replacement screws for the SR50A
* Shed computer is still offline. I swapped the summper RPi back in place but that didn't get me anywhere. Observing, it looked a little like the network connection is slow to be established and so the computers just remain offline. but that's kind of what I saw with my laptop. I connected... got an IP address slowly and then the internet didn't work until a bit after that. For whatever reason.
** So, since I couldn't get anything to work I brought the NUC out with me. When I arrived and the first couple of power restarts the LED code was OS upgrade in progress. I'm not sure what that was about. A couple potential alternatives might be read only OS / ram drive for logging as needed (though perhaps risky).
* didn't touch any of the WS sensors.
* downloaded data from all sites and there was data dating to 2016-2017 so good news as it seems the cardout instructions are working properly on all four loggers.
* noticed the MD485 connection to grid site was loose / perhaps off so I screwed it back in but didn't test link.
* the main good news is that since the cardout is working properly the real-time connection is less important. Just disappointing.
* made good use of the ladder from the flux tower to get the 3.5m sensors fixed
* replaced the antenna at the C site so hopefully will improve radio link.
* For the record:
** Flew in on evening flight.
** next morning filled two daypacks for the day's work.
** got breakfast
** met up with UIC for safety training.
** started walking to site around 10am.
** Got back to truck at the end of the day around... 4:45 I think it was
** A slightly less intense trip would be fly in on the morning flight, get the safety training out of the way and then still leave on the evening flight. Something like that schedule would allow for more miserable weather as we had fantastic weather (clear / sunny & quite windy).
** safety training done the day before would also allow for an earlier start.

* Intensive Site A HMP155 failed (3.5m)
* Intensive Site B HMP155 failed (1.4m)
* Intensive Site C HMP155 failed
* Have 2-3 additional HMP155 membrane tips
** bringing a bit of electrical tape to seal these things up after sensor replacement
* need to replace the network cable running from the computer to the network switch. It cuts out with minimal bumping...
** I think I almost need to connect the computer to a screen to see where the hang up is if it indeed turned on so I'll bring my light keyboard/mouse and an HDMI to DVI cord.
* Site A SR50A transducers have failed
* Check level of tipping buckets
* Check level of radiometers
** replace radiometer desiccant
** polish radiometer domes
* some subsurface items are beginning to fail.
* label the computer
* bring up the nuc plate and wood screws and other screw packet to mount nuc to wall
* troubleshoot the network connection in control shed.
* take new pictures of inside control shed

===To Bring===
* Tools
** CSI Phillips for opening CNR4 radiometers and SR50A
** Tap & Die in case any more radiometer screws strip
** torpedo level for tipping bucket level
** 5/16" screw driver for tipping bucket level
** electrical tape for HMP155 replacement
** Antenna & coax for C site to get antenna outside of the box. (two different antennas will decide on which up in Utqiagvik)
** Drill & battery for potential tap & die stuff

===On Site===
* Should be a ladder at the NGEE Flux tower for use replacing 3.5m instruments

* Bring measured volume for salt slug measurement at Teller SW (the water jug for precip bucket calibration)
** get correct amount of water in this then pour into the 1L volume.

====Teller Bottom====
* tap & die the net radiometer
** also bring a drill
* step stool for site
====Teller Top====
* change radiometer desiccant
* ubolts or hose clamps for precip stand
** also might think on getting the bucket vertical pipe a bit higher off the ground.

====Teller General====
* Finish veg gps survey

====Teller CAS====
* bring out guy wires
* guy wire cutter
* correct amount of thimbles
* guy wire anchors (all for the geonor)
* look at program and think about using switched 12V for AT/RH... we will see in March trip if they should be turned off.
* think about mounting a small SP on the tripod and running charging cables to battery box
* think on a better way to do the solar panel... It might be that from the frame that came from China we mount that to unistrut and then that gets everything higher off the ground and more secure for winter winds etc.
* check anemometer position

====Nome CAS====
* see about ordering new batteries (this could be a see what the data looks like in March for the Teller CAS site if more batteries are necessary)
*

====NGEE-Koug====
* change radiometer desiccant
* check position of anemometer
* leave a compass in the box

====K2 met====
* Net radiometer stand bring out thimbles (guy wire is out there) for 7/16" size thimble (this is probably 1/4" or 5/16" wire rope)
* level radiometers
* replace radiometer desiccant

====K3 Mauze====
* Bring out an SC932A for between Logger and radio
* new radiation tower for upwelling?
** I'm thinking today that we could reuse the top pipe from the teller top site that is currently in storage to get the radiometers well above the canopy.
* check level of radiometer
* be prepared for some broken stuff (if this visit is broken into two days then could bring a number of things out to end of road and then only bring what is necessary on day two.

====Kigluaiks====
* Bring out an SC932A for between logger and radio

====Skookum====
* change OS back to Array based
* send program with more aggressive on/off to preserve winter battery
* think about taking one of the batteries in storage out to the site

====C1 Grid====
* bring out english allen wrench
* bring out coax to replace radio to antenna connection
* flip the snow depth pipe so old SR50 stub is up against tripod and mount radio antenna to it. Should be able to keep SR50A in about the same position
====Teller====
* Check the next visit page (I'll copy/paste at some point)
* If time allows, Amy Breen has some surveying to be done. And, if we're able to survey then they'd also like thaw depths at their plots.

=====Teller Bottom=====
* change transducers for snow depth sensors
* download data
* measure VATP thermistors
* relevel radiometer
* '''bring out one step stool to level teller bottom radiometer.''' / another tall person.
* bring desiccant for box
*

=====Teller Surface Water=====
* download data
* replace desiccant
* discharge measurement with salt slug

====Kougarok====
=====Kougarok Mile 64=====
* Download Data
* don't really need snow depth here it would seem but just double check all measurements and relevel radiometer / precip
* Amy Breen has a number of points to be surveyed here. She'd like thaw depths for all we're able to visit.

=====Kougarok 10m tower=====
* A station visit to would be awesome even for just 2 hours to double-check site in anticipation of it being used for the disturbance study.
* Mandatory download data though even if by radio
** If we visit I'll put a storage module back at the site so it's less pressing.
* level precip bucket
* level radiometers
* replace radiometer desiccant

=====Kougarok Mauze gulch=====
* Minimum would be download data by radio

=====Kougarok Burn Site=====
* Download data by radio
