*Download data:
1.Use Toughbook with the HOBO Base Station and the coupler 2B to download data. The logger only fits in there in one orientation and a green light will turn on when device is attached and communicating with laptop.
2.OPen onset HOBOware software.
3. READOUT data. Do not need to stop logging if you are going to put the instrument back in the river. SAVE DATA with Serial Number, River Name, and DATE of download in the file name.
4. It will read out the data and then you can plot up the data for a quick look by pressing plot. You can save this project but SAVE DATA with Serial Number, River Name, and DATE of download in the file name.
NOTE THE TIME OFFSET FROM GMC. IT SHOULD BE ON STANDARD TIME (-9). If not you can change it here, or manually later.
5.Use Barometric Pressure Compensation because the HOBO data is absolute pressure (not gauge pressure like the vented/cable PTs attached to the dataloggers). Create file (use my template) and it needs to be tab separated and .txt file extension. Pick a reference water level measurement (m above datum) and set the date/time and units of measurement (should be m above arbitrary datum).
