Installation of SmatFlux 2 (SM2)
Site Overview Rapid snow melt in progress. Snow has become very slushy with standing water in some areas.
Work Memo Installation process itself went smoothly with no surprise. However, the software does not show the newly installed SM2 in the "choose a smartflux" window. (Prior to the installation, a device was shown in the this window but it had disapered)
Troubleshooting was not successful I tried following
- followed the network trouble shooting guide in the SM2 manual (pressing the reset button on SM2 and LI7550)
- double checked all the connections/wiring
- LED indicators on SM2 and LI7550 seemed normal
- flow module is on and set at 15.0
I did NOT re-start the PC or the software in fear of causing disruption in data collection process.
I wonder if this had been caused by turning the LI7550 off as part of the installation procedure.
Further troubleshooting is needed.
