All sites need HMP45C replacement and send back old for recalibration.

Ken add stations that need conduit and bear fencing.


Note: Sites are grouped by area.

Day 1 West of Dalton Highway

1. DFM2 White Hills met Bear Damage:

  • Need anemometer cable,
  • solar panel,
  • soil profile (?),
  • electric fencing checked,
  • Measure distance from ground to snow sensor
  • No data in data files after May 30

2. DFM4 NW Kuparuk Met DFM4:

  • Measure distance from ground to snow sensor

3. DFM3 North White Hills Met

  • Check precip data and check precip gage. Only 2 tips so far this summer.

Day 2 and 3 (Bullen Area)

3. DBM7 Kadleroshilik Met DBM7 Snow Sensor:

  • Needs SR50 replacement.
  • Measure distance from ground to snow sensor.

4. DFR3 repeater Troubleshoot:

  • Lost communications with site
  • Needs HMP45C

  • Lost communications with site

6. DBM8 Bullen Met DBM8 (If Time)

  • Replace GWS YSIx3 Air temp sensor

Day 4 (Kavik Area)

7. DBM5 Upper Kad Met DBM5:

  • Check wiring of soil sensors, take photo.
  • Measure distance from ground to snow sensor.

8. DBM6 Kavik Met:

  • Check soil temperature wiring for any loose wires (temp sensors at 135 and 150 and 0 depth give funky readings),
  • Measure distance from ground to snow sensor,
  • reset antennae radio guy wires.

Day 5 (Mountain Sites)

9. DBM3 Juniper Met DBM3:

  • North fence needs another post,
  • solar panel wires are exposed, needs "plates" or other protection
