Station by Station to do
Northwest Campus
- Replace Base Radio with new one.
- Plug 'DataPort' on Blue power cable into Moxa COM1 using a new serial cable for Nome Base
- Use serial cable / null modem / gender bender as required
- Plug 'DiagPort' on blue power cable into Moxa COM2 using a new serial cable for Nome Base
- Use serial cable / null modem / gender bender as required
Anvil
- Replace Anvil radio with new one.
- If you switch to the blue cable (just for this winter) then the current power plug powering the replacement radio out there now will plug into the blue power/comm cable.
- The CSIO / Modem Gray adapter may need to be unscrewed from the enclosure. If that is the case you'll need a Square Drive Bit to accomplish this. Then, plug the 'DataPort' on the blue power/com cable into the Modem side of the gray adapter.
- Leave Radio in ON position, Flag 1 High:
- Plug in Keypad
- Press * 6 To move to the input locations memory star mode
- Press A To advance one position into the input locations memory
- Press D To Display flags 1-8
- Press 1 To toggle flag one to be on (1 = on, 0 = off); screen should show: '1000 0000'
- Press * 6 To move to the input locations memory star mode
- Press A To advance one position into the input locations memory
- Press 0 To Display flags 8-1,
- Press 8 To toggle control port eight to be on (1 = on, 0 = off); screen should show: '1000 0000'
- Press *0 To exit the data logger star mode.
Optionally:
- Test comms to Kig 1 & 2 & Skookum (if there at top of the hour)
- Open DevConfig, set baud rate to 19,200
- Push button on the back of radio to bring up the setup menu
- Select 0 Set Operation Mode from the menu
- Change the operation mode from Mode 4 Slave/Repeater to Mode 6 Slave/Master Switchable
- Hit 'Esc' twice to exit Setup mode
- Disconnect the 19,200 connection
- Reconnect to the radio at 9600
- Try dialing Skookum, type (all caps) ATD9066041
- Should see OK then CONNECT
- Give a few carriage returns after seeing 'CONNECT' and should see *
- Disconnect, reconnect at 9600 again
- Try dialing Kigluaiks #1, type (all caps) ATD9066018
- May see OK then CONNECT
- Give a few carriage returns after seeing 'CONNECT' and should see *
- Disconnect, reconnect at 9600 again
- Try dialing Kigluaiks #2, type (all caps) ATD9164336
- May see OK then CONNECT
- Give a few carriage returns after seeing CONNECT and should see *
- Disconnect
- Important to finish with these steps!
- Reconnect at 9600 again
- Enter the setup mode by typing (all caps) ATXS
- Select 0 Set Operation Mode from the menu
- Change the operation mode from Mode 6 Slave/Master Switchable to Mode 4 Slave/Repeater
- Hit Esc twice to exit Setup mode
- Open DevConfig, set baud rate to 19,200
- Check out WS/WD & AT/RH data
