I'm not sure the best way to represent these or even if on the wiki is ideal but just to get this out someplace for now: There is more specific information located at this link (email Bob to request access):
IARC / GIPL Station List Google Doc

Computer Systems Fairbanks

ngeedata

  • Debian Linux virtual machine
  • Located in IARC server room
  • Function is main data processing server and web server for sharing data with 3rd parties

lognet

  • CentOS Linux virtual machine
  • Located in IARC server room
  • Function is main LoggerNet server for related projects.
  • This computer pushes data to ngeedata after automated retrievals.

Super Site Toughbook

  • Panasonic Toughbook running Debian Linux
  • Located in the Super Site Shed.
  • This computer has LoggerNet for linux on it like the LogNet computer and pushes data to ngeedata hourly.
  • Local data logger network at the super site is Campbell Scientific MD485.
  • There are a handful of other computers out there but that's kind of outside the scope of this page. But basically, all dedicated computers from Japan for the JAMSTEC project running a variety of things.

Fairbanks Serial Servers

5thfloorradio

  • Debian Linux Raspberry Pi Model B
  • Located above the ceiling tiles on the 5th floor.
  • Only accessible by using a ladder and removing tiles.
  • This computer is a base radio for the Fairbanks Freewave network
  • How it is labeled in LoggerNet on lognet: 5thfloor_rpi
  • DNS is ralph.iarc

IARC NL100

  • Campbell Scientific NL100
  • Located above the ceiling tiles on the 5th floor.
  • Once again only accessible by ladder.
  • This is the main Bonanza Creek network access point. (multi-point Freewave Network)
  • How it is labeled in LoggerNet on lognet: IARC BNZ NL100 RS232

Lab 123

  • Debian Linux GuruPlug
  • Located in IARC lab 123
  • serial server connected to a CR1000 for lab use.
  • How it is labeled in LoggerNet on lognet: Lab 123
  • DNS is salmon.iarc

trout

  • Debian Linux GuruPlug
  • Located in 207B but usually offline
  • serial server is for randome testing
  • How it is labeled in LoggerNet on lognet: trout
  • DNS is trout.iarc

Toolik Serial Server

Toolik_Met_RF450_Base

  • NL200 maybe connected to an RF450.
  • Ask Lily for location.
  • Radio is in multipoint mode.
  • How it is labeled in LoggerNet on lognet: Toolik_Met_RF450_Base

Toolik Met IP Winter Quarters

  • NL100 connected to a RF310B Base Station
  • Located in Arctic Entry of Winter Quarters
  • Radio network is an old Maxon VHF system
  • How it is labeled in LoggerNet on lognet: Toolik_Met_IP_WinterQuarters

Toolik Met NL100

  • Campbell Scientific unit of some sort (not necessarily NL100)
  • Sits in Instrument box at site with the CR3000.
  • This is the currently preferred route to the TFS Met Station
  • How it is labeled in LoggerNet on lognet: Toolik_Met_IP_NL100

Toolik SerServer

  • Debian Linux TS7260
  • Has Ken's CommServer active on it.
  • Not sure the exact location at Toolik.
  • Radio is in point to point mode.
  • Used to grab Toolik TPS station data
  • How it is labeled in LoggerNet on lognet: Toolik_SerServer

Barrow Serial Server

dreamplug

  • Debian Linux small orange & black computer
  • Mounted onto a wall in the BEO Control Shed (out about 1.2 miles from Cake Eater road in middle of BEO)
  • Has a PTZ Axis model camera attached as well as serves as a radio base station
    • other radio users include Bill @ UAF-GIPL and Bryan at DOE-LBL
  • Radio here is in Multi-point mode and sites in this neighborhood all have PakBus IDs
  • How it is labeled in LoggerNet on lognet: brw_dreamplug

Nome Serial Server

Nome_Moxa

  • 12/2016 now raspberry pi 2B as well.
  • Located in the old library (I think... I don't know that I've seen it since it was moved during the 2006-2008 remodel).
  • Moving in Spring 2017 to a new location
  • Radio here is in point to point mode and we connect to the sites using AT commands.
  • How it is labeled in LoggerNet on lognet: NOMEMoxa
