Trip Notes
Anti corrosion goo saved the day here. No screws stripped on this visit. Everything easy to swap. Definite best case scenario after a three year gap between visits.
- @ Site A
- Replaced all AT/RH and 014A sensors with new / recalibrated units
- Lower 014A had bent cups but both should be reading NAN until visit.
- replaced both snow transducers
- leveled CNR4 and replaced desiccant
- leveled tipping bucket
- site back to 100%.
- Replaced all AT/RH and 014A sensors with new / recalibrated units
- @ Site B
- Replaced all AT/RH and 014A sensors with new / recalibrated units
- replaced both snow transducers
- Tripod SR50A not reading. I looked over the wires and the data and I think this must have been an issue in 2019, too as all the wiring looks ok. So I vote internal corrosion or something else.
- leveled CNR4 and replaced desiccant
- @ Site C
- Replaced both 014A WS
- Only replaced upper HMP155. The lower one is still working and and the sensor cable was corroded onto the sensor. I think with a skinny wrench (and here I am thinking probably a metric bike tool would be the hot ticket) they could be disconnected but since it was still working, shoulder shrug emoji, just left it as-is.
- Tipping bucket still level and so didn't fuss with it.
- @ Site D
- Replaced the 014A WS
- Did not replace HMP155 as it is still working.
- @ BEO Control Shed
- Redeployed the computer
- it worked right off and data downloads resumed.
- now using an internal IP address and pushing data to ocotal
- SSH connection to monitors is broken by monitors firewall so I will need to look into current IP.
Activities
- I listed things working and broken below but I also brought enough instruments to completely replace:
- All snow transducers
- All AT/RH
- All WS
- All CNR4 desiccant
To Bring
- Radiometer Desiccant
- SR50A transducers
- Anemometers
- Tap & Die set for radiometers
- Anti Corrosion Goo
- Toughbook
- Toolbags
- Computer
Data Refresher
