Revision as of 10:07, 28 September 2017
- Car Rental Reservation: R41747
- 9/29 - 10/6
- Nugget reservation 1346
Activities:
- Nome
- find new base station location with Chad
- return GCI cable modem from Boxer Apartments
- teller
- move snow poles to TLA line
- put one snow pole in each actual snow course center of X for the IS crosses.
- remove remaining poles
- teller bottom:
- check soil moisture #5 (bottom) seems to be not powered / connected.
- teller top:
- double-check data
- thermal conductivity probes working?
- maybe replace cnr4
- and or drill out stripped screws
- replace memory card in camera
- teller bottom
- replace memory card in camera
- sr50a transducer replacement, 2x
- remove 1 PT
- discharge measurement
- Kougarok m64
- bring guy wire markers for K64 met station (at uaf storage)
- setup snow grid for spring (surveying)
- 9/25 waiting on geopdf & shape files from Lauren for this.
- survey the remaining intensive sites out there:
- IS5, IS6, IS8
- soil pit.............
- altar shield
- need 2 2x4 chunks for base
- need 2 more pieces of functional altar shield
- need wood screws to screw vertical pipes to base.
- Original Kougarok:
- download data by radio
- Council
- fix program at C1 Grid
- download C2 blueberry data over radio
- push snow off eddy system.
Sensor Issues
Data Notes
- Double-check thermistor equations
- double-check precision resistor values.
- think about bringing car adapter plus aligator clips etc out so we can tie into station batteries during program compilation.
Teller Bottom Soil:
- teller bottom: confirm that thermistor values as-built match resistor in field.
- Soil Moisture #5... is it connected?
- Heat Flux Plates are doing the wrong thing... are they measured right?
- thermal conductivity thermistors... it kind of looks like the measurement is still settling. The measurement is quite spikey from time to time.
- Looks like VATP3 shifted on 4/21.
- same for VATP4
- same for VATP 6
- same for vatp 8
- same for vatp 9
- can see water pulse around 4/21 in the lower thermistors.

Teller Bottom Spectral:
- Decagon Sensors look good

Teller Bottom Radiation:
- Looks good just need to correct albedo for nighttime.

Teller Bottom Snow Temp Profile:
- Looks pretty good

Teller Bottom Thermal Conductivity:
- data is spikey, in soil pit temperatures
http://ngeedata.iarc.uaf.edu/data/teller_bottom_soil/
Teller Top Met
- HMP155 is still broken.
- Lily fixed in August.
- All other sensors look good.

Teller Top Soil:
- I'm suspicious that the precision resistor values for teller top aren't correct.
- vatp4 freezing point is at 2 deg C
- I think there was quite a bit of water running down the probe during snowmelt.

Teller Top Thermal Conductivity:
- something funky going on here, too, as in precision resistor may be off and also the data is quite spikey.

Kougarok Mile 64 Met
- skin temperature looks like there is a loose wire
- Other sensors look good.

- I haven't processed this data just copied the raw files to the server. But, if you check that link you can view all of the raw data in the data visualizer.
Kougarok Mile 64 Spectral
- all sensors look good
Kougarok Mile 64 Soil
- soil temps look good but no soil pit just yet.
