Prep
- conductivity meter
 - 3pcs 1 Liter bottles
 - 1pcs precisely known volume
 - 1 pcs precisely measured salt
 - 10-20 cc syringe
 - spare C batteries
 - bucket? or mixing tank bigger than 1L

At site procedure
- measure steady state conditions at upstream (eC & temperature)
 - measure steady state conditions at downstream (eC & temperature)
 - Fill known volume and dump into each 1 liter volume
 - pour packet of salt into one of the known volumes
 - well mix the salt slug
 - extract 10 mL from well mixed salt slug and squirt into one of the two remaining 1 liter volumes
 - secure conductivity meter at downstream location and start logging
- observe background levels

 - pour salt slug in at upper reach location

k calculation
- keep 2 1L bottles at stream temperature and well mix the one with salt solution (salted solution is the Secondary Solution).
 - pour the natural stream water into bucket
 - in 2 to 5 mL increments add Secondary Solution water to mixing bucket and measure eC & Temperature after mixing
 - record in fielbook: mL added, eC & temperature in the mixing tank.
 - repeat for at least 3 samples. Literature suggests starting with 2mL per bucket dump.
