Overview
The met station at Toolik needs to be transferred from its tripod to a tower. The field requirements for this assignment will be outlined here.
Any other information not here but could be anticipated as being useful?
To Bring from Fairbanks
- Cabling to extend thermocouple temperature profile from old enclosure to new enclosure.
 - shovels for digging out buried cabling
 - extension cord for moving power from old tripod to new tower
 - cable splicing tools for anything that might need extending
- soldering iron
 - butane
 - propane torch
 - solder
 - heat shrink
 
 - extra cabling
 - Toolbags
 - Extra data logger (CR1000, for any instruments that aren't transferred to the new logger on this trip and or don't reach... completely just a back up item)

 - Precision Resistor for measuring CGR4 Thermistor
 
Current Equipment On-Site
- New tower w/ enclosure & guy wires
 - Garden web cam
 - Pluvio 1 (Currently installed but broken)
 - Met Station w/ soil thermocouples, radiation, lake sensors on rusted tripod
 - New Multiplexer
 - Pluvio 2 (needs to be installed but is in the environmental data center)... has a different base than the existing one.
 - Pluvio 2 base is inside the wyoming gauge snow fence sitting on the ground
 
Goals
- Mount recalibrated AT/RH sensors
 - Move power to the new enclosure
 - Transfer as much equipment as possible to new tower
 - Leave what can't be moved at the old site
 - Install Pluvio 2
- note, pluvio 1 wire is a bit short. but should be okay with pluvio 2
 
 - Get evaporation pan working
 - Install new radiometer
 - Tighten guy wires and level tower

- TFS Site Wiring / cable lengths
 - List cable types needed ?
 - List muxes needed ?

 - New Program (Bob Bu has draft)
 - Troubleshoot Evaporation Pan
 - Figure out what needs calibration
 
Updates
- Pluvio 1 and Pluvio 2 use different base stands. Make sure to include the Pluvio 2 mounting hardware!
 - Evaporation pan may not be in the budget this year if the gauging unit (Campbell 21531) needs to be replaced.
 - Conduit isn't an immediate priority since this depends on the final setup.
