To Do:

  • Change out snow transducers, 8 pieces
  • swap back the B site net radiometer
  • change out desiccant in the D site radiometer
  • level radiometers
  • Fix C site Rim Snow Sensor
  • D Thermal Conductivity
    • Program works fine in Fairbanks
    • OKAY... Look at how it is wired in the field. / in pictures. I think there are two pulse port instructions when there should be just one.

To Bring:

  • CNR4 Net Radiometers
    • One for B (the original)
    • retap the D screws and if I can't get that to work then move the alternate radiometer from inventory (B) to D.

Thursday

  • @ airport by 6ish
  • grab coke in Fairbanks airport
  • Arrive at NARL around 11am
  • get keys and dress for day in field
    • wind breaker
    • backpack ready to go
    • lunch for the day
    • Water bottle, fill it
    • actionpacker with:
      • 8 snow sensors
      • toolbag
      • net radiometer for B
      • drill for tapping D radiometer if needed
      • 6/32 screw for D
      • also bringing a 4/32 screw & tap for backup.
      • serial cable


At each site

  • level radiometer
  • level precip bucket
  • look at leveling tower / anemomemters
  • listen to anemometers for bearing problems
  • swap out desiccant in the box
  • might double-check serial numbers if there is time
  • more pictures

Additionally

  • At B swap back in original radiometer
  • At C fix the Rim snow sensor
  • At D change out the desiccant in the radiometer
