  • SR50 sensor looks good
  • Sr50 distance to ground before trimming grass ranged from 117-122 cm, avg 120
  • Added bark chips and trimmed vegetation, new avg distance is 112 cm,
  • Changed SR50_ht in program from 120 cm to 112 cm
  • Net radiometer was reading 0. Unwired and rewired but it didn't work
  • Changed out net radiometer, pulled wire out of 1/2" flex conduit and then buried new

cable (not in conduit except at the sensor end and the tripod/instrument shelter end (~5 ft on each end)

  • New S/N 72731 radiometer. Constant changed back at the lab from old 14.9 to new 12.9 uV/W/m2
  • might want to try to rebury radiometer cable in conduit next trip. Need 3/4 " conduit.
  • Flew over Shell Pingo and it look fine. Fence intact.

14 June 2007, Ken I., Doug K.

  • brief stop at site; notes made in field book the next day
  • tripod look OK on quick look
  • radiation pole leaning
    • one guy anchor (north) pulled
    • another guy turnbuckle was apart -- presumably unscrewed by wind/vibration
  • adjusted 3rd (cast alumninum) turnbuckle to show some threads -- was at end of bolt
  • drove 18-inch rebar at north anchor
    • reset turnbuckle on SW guy
  • rad pole firmly frozen/set in ground
    • pushed (bent) pole to near-plumb
  • radiometer mount failed with 2 lower ears bent, one cracked
    • reset mount to level radiometer
    • presume bear caused this damage
  • snow depth height: 119 cm
  • radiometer height: 119 cm
