Tested new ACS EVDO card in a laptop, then installed it (and a pcmcia pci bus socket). Upgraded to linux kernel 2.6.18, since the 2.6.8 kernel didn't map the evdo card to USBtty0 automatically.
Tested the evdo in conjunction with the ASTAC dialup ppp system, but was not able to get the evdo ppp to work either alone or alongside the dialup ppp. Left the ACS evdo card plugged in but not configured to run.
