Met
Met 2016
- All fixed prior to start of this page... I'll go back and add notes as time allows.
- But, station put up in early April 2016 as a temporary setup on a
- Summer Precip Ends: 11/04/2016 02:00
- Need to revisit data grouper to address the pandas change with respect to NAN and averaging. 10/12/2018 (for AT/RH/DP in 2016 April)
Met 2017
- all good / corrected... same as above, I will add notes later.
- Last Winter Season Precip: 04/21/2017 18:00
- Start of Winter Season for Precip: 10/15/2017 13:00
Met 2018
Data Record really ends for 2018 on last visit. Another CF card failure.
- Barometric Pressure good through 6/2018 visit
- Wind Speed & Direction good through 6/2018 visit
- Air Temperature / Dewpoint / Relative Humidity good through 6/2018 visit
- Rain Gage destroyed by moose 12/25/2017.
- Bucket fixed 6/13/2018 around 21:00 - 22:00 (tips in data were test tips with new bucket).
- QA file reflects this.
Met 2019
(Year really does start on 3/31/19 21:00ish. Another CF card failure. On the snow survey trip I changed how things are saved and no gaps since I believe.
- Barometric Pressure good
- Wind Speed and Direction Good.
- Rain
- Spring/summer season begins once moose damage is repaired. First data point: 6/11/2019 1:00 UTC
- Moose damage again on 7/16/2019 0:00
- Fixed and test tips 8/20/19 1:00
- Fall season runs until 10/16/2019 4:00
- AT/RH/DP all good.
Met 2020
- Bit of Rime Ice on the anemometer March 2020
- & November
- Rain
- Start of season: 4/23/20 22:00
- I'm starting Spring way early for 2020 because it's clear from QA'd data that snow melts out of bucket by the 20th of April and there is no more tipping until 5/12.
- End of season: 10/13/20 4:00
- This is the safe ending date. It's quite possible that the precipitation 10/15 to 10/24 could be included but at least the 10/15 I suspect is snow that fell 10/13 or 10/14? So timing of the tips is off compared to when it fell. I waffle I guess but just going to delete after making this note.
- Start of season: 4/23/20 22:00
- AT/RH/DP all good
- Barometric Pressure all good
Met 2021 (through 9/19)
- I noted this on the next visit page but there is a data gap corresponding (roughly) to files with suffix 108 to 113 (all data tables).
- Roughly: 5/10/21 0:00 to 6/7/21 00:00
- Barometric Pressure: all good (through final station visit 9/19/21)
- AT/RH/DP: all good (through final station visit 9/19/21)
- Wind:
- Rime Ice 1/23/21 19:00 through 1/28/21 5:00
- One loose end: I need to double-check WD. Moose hit site twice this year definitely look at radiation....
- Summer Precip
- Season Start: 4/21/21 21:00 (for real)... best I can declare anyway
- After season starts there is the file I/O error data gap and then prior to station visit legit precip in June.
- Reviewing the station visit in Fall 2020 pictures I can see precip bucket was still in place.
- So I think I'm going to just NAN data after the last rainfall in June until my station visit.
- 6/14 / 6/15 rain event matches with top data so I think 6/15/21 9:00 to 6/23/21 23:00 delete.
Radiation
Radiation 2016
- all good / corrected
Radiation 2017
- all good / corrected
Radiation 2018
- SW & LW & Skin Temp look good through 6/2018 visit.
Radiation 2019
- all good / corrected
Radiation 2020
- all good / corrected
Soil
- I need to dig into the fieldbook notes to see if the VATP jacked at all in 2017.
Soil 2016
Soil 2017
- Heat Flux plates nonworking until 10/2017
Soil 2018
- 2018 heat flux plates look decent.
- it could be that top & bottom are flipped and also that what should be the top is actually flipped in sign?...need to compare to top.
- 2021-05 Update: Yes I think this is true after putting all flux plates on same plot.
- given that, need to follow up somehow and check the multiplier, too to make sure they're correct. Like, easy to change the data processing to flip the two but need to see if I need to check on if the calibration coefficient is being applied to the right one.
- on top of all that, the wires are backwards or the plate is upside down for the upper plate.
- it could be that top & bottom are flipped and also that what should be the top is actually flipped in sign?...need to compare to top.
- VATP
- Blip during station visit at 6/13/2018 21:00

Snow 2017-2018
Station History / Site Downloads / visits:
September 24 & 26 2018
- B Busey / Bolton / CAS
- memory problem on logger 9/24 but due to food poisoning just downloaded data.
- returned 9/26 and upgraded the OS to latest
- resent program & readdressed.
- I don't yet know the problem here? Error in CF card perhaps? In 2019 I will replace the CF card with another.
June 13 & 15 2018
- Station Maintenance @
- 6/13/2018 20:00 UTC
- 6/15/2018 20:00 UTC
- B Busey & N Wales
- fixed animal damage
- snow sensor knocked over 12/25/2017
- tipping bucket removed probably around then, too.
- fixed program bug
April 10 2016
- Temporary station built above flood plain. Station put in at end of first snow survey trip of Teller.
- At that point this was labeled the blue site (the blue electrical tape IDed this site in the logistics phase).
- Site established around 4/10/2016
- AT/RH
- 4 component Radiation
- Surface water
April 21 - May 5 1 2016
- Station visited nearly daily during ablation trip
July 2016
- LC visited and downloaded data.
- Temporary station had fallen over (knocked by an animal).
August 12 - 22 2016
- LC & B Busey improve upon site making Teller Bottom site and splitting off the Teller Surface Water Station.
