Commonly Used Sensor Wiring

Put MD485 in transparent mode and connect RS485 port to either the CSIO or the RS232.  CSIO is good because then the unit is powered, which simplifies the wiring a bit.

Default HMP155 Mode:

4800 baud
even parity
7 data bits
1 stop bit
no flow control

MD485s can't support this so you'll need to use the Vaisala USB interface to first communicate with the HMP155 to change the settings like this:

seri 9600 n 8 1

Also, set up the formatting:

form 5.3 T " " RH #n

Typing in a question mark (?) will get you a dump of the unit's settings and serial numbers etc.
