Before going:
- look over data for anything needing attention (like from animal damage potentially)
 - make a list of things to do at the station
 - bring tools, hose clamp or two, cable ties

On approach to a station:
- asses for animal damage

At station:
- download data
 - look at numeric input locations on site to see that things make sense
 - pound in with hand maul the guy wire deals if loose (easier later summer than spring)
 - address animal damage / known before hand sensor repair work
 - check that omni-directional antenna hasn't vibrated loose (it happens especially at K1/K2)
 - level the radiometer tower at each summer visit (and then the up looking radiometers)
 - set Flag 1 high if a radio is present upon leaving (except in fall)
 - last off: double-check that the data logger is connected to the radio (blue or sometimes gray cable)
 - take a picture or two in the final state (more good practice than anything else)
 - replace dessicant in radiometers at least annually
