Worked with UA networking to get the Moxa NPort DE311 server back online. The DHCP client on this thing does not work very well -- or maybe at all. It does not request an address when the given lease expires, and this is not in compliance with the RFCs. However, with the network routers configured to tie an IP to its mac address, the device is accessible.
Another problem, however, suggests changing the Moxa out. Pretty frequently I 've seen corrupt images downloaded from the UK repeater camera, which is only one hop from the Toolik base. While this could indicate a problem with the radio, the Moxa is already in question due to its lousy dhcp support, so should probably top the suspects list.

Installed a Moxa NPort DE311 at the base station on/about 29 Sept 2006. UAF networking assigned it a fixed ip based on its mac address.

Installed a radomed yagi on the Toolik office 10m tower, pointed toward the WERC Upper Kuparuk Ridge repeater site. Tried to install a Cyclades TS100 as the device server for the radio, but had problems getting it to work.
