Bring your own base battery supply and tripod for base. Also good to have some spare brass GPS adaptor fittings to go into trimble pole and base of GPS.

You may use the Base box during low flow summer operations for RTK with the mini orange bluetooth GPS boxes (that go on Streampro Triamaran or Kayak) but please return set up to its appropriate location when finished. Note: when using base box during summer low flow operations, just unplug the freewave radio from the null modem cable and then plug in the bluetooth RTK base SD1000 radio into the null modem cable.

Here is an inventory of what you would need in the mini orange bluetooth GPS box for kayak or trimaran setup:

  • mini orange box, waterproofed
  • duct seal or other waterproofing material
  • GPS cable, that comes out of the box
  • 3 SENA Parani SD1000s for RTK communication of GPS data
  • misc. bluetooth antennaes
  • battery pack w/ spare batteries
  • spare brass fitting for GPS
  • separate pelican case bluetooth kit w/ UD100 bluetooth radio for laptop, misc. antennaes, 2+ bluetooth SD1000 battery chargers, spare SD1000, spare battery pack
  • Note: If using the kayak, the kayak bag should have the streampro kayak mount and should also have a GPS pole for the kayak inside bag.
  • Note: If using trimaran, be sure to have a way to mount GPS to trimaran
