Fairbanks Prep

  • 16 HMP45C heads needed for full replacement. Not saying we need to do all of them but for the total out there number it is 16.
  • Solder Quick Connects on Net Radiometers to be taken out to the SP.
  • Make sure we have enough SR50/SR50A/Judd sonic replacement sensors

Broken Sensors:

Kigluaiks AT/RH
K3 1 & 3m AT/RH
K1 1 & 3m AT/RH
C2 10m AT/RH

To Do:

  • Program for new repeater
  • get right hardware for reinstalling Radiometers
  • bring solder?
  • bring quick connects (6) for net radiometers
  • Track down Taylor programming
  • make sure Taylor stuff will fit.
  • Change other programs to save less 5 minute stuff (make it a season based output).
  • Pack wading rod and Flo-Mate
  • Get programs onto new toughbook (and modify them).
  • Power Wire from Napa probably for Repeater site
  • 2 multiplexers
  • 2 CR10Xs
  • precision resistors
  • Longer Coax for at C2 Blueberry
  • Remaining Taylor stuff

Radio Repeater Station Needs:

Troubleshoot 2009 Radio Problems. Specifically: Anvil to Kigluaiks Hop and Skookum to C2 Blueberry Hop. Repeater Site Logistics:

  • Tripod & Hardware (from pictures the bolts aren't in the tripod but they might be in the tripod legs)
  • Instrument Box (use the Kuzitrin one maybe?)
  • Battery Box (There's an extra from C3 in the Nome Storage)
  • Hole in battery box (To drain water)
  • batteries (Should be in Nome Storage)
  • battery cables (Need to make after buying wire in Fairbanks (NAPA)
  • power & data for radios (bring)
  • power cables and charge controller (Maybe out there, I'm not sure. Solar panel had been at the Kuzitrin so presumably there's something attached)
  • power cable for solar panel (bring a C.C. for the large panel)
  • cable ties (grab some)
  • antenna (should be out there)
  • coax (should be out there? Bring one out anyway)
  • radio (should be out there? Bring one out anyway)
  • cr10x (Bring 2)
  • taylor anemometer (Bring the cross arms out)
  • set radio into correct modes (point to point slave / repeater)
  • Something for mounting the solar panel to the tower (Hmmm.. hose clamps maybe?)
  • copies of permits for posting

SP Trip: Tuesday--

  • Arrive
  • Gage snake? / visit snake?
    • Replace battery here
